Directions
Most avenues and streets in Edmonton are numbered. Avenues run east-west, and streets north-south. Numbers increase for avenues as you go north, and streets as you go west. The center of the city is roughly near 101 (Jasper) Ave. and 101 St.If you are coming to Edmonton, follow these directions to the University of Alberta.
From the south or from the Edmonton International Airport
Take highway 2 north (which becomes 103 St.) until you reach 82 Ave.
Turn left and go west until you reach 109 St.
Turn right and go north until you reach 87 Ave.
Turn left and go west about 4 blocks.
From the west
If you come via highway 16 (the Yellowhead Trail), continue east until you reach the St. Albert Trail intersection.
Turn right and go south along the St. Albert Trail (which eventually becomes Groat Road) until you reach 87 Ave.
Go 3/4 around the traffic circle and proceed east along 87 Ave. for about 6 blocks.
If you come via highway 16A (which becomes 100 Ave.), go east until you reach 156 St.
Turn left and go north to 107 Ave.
Turn right and go east until you reach the intersection with Groat Road.
Turn right and follow the directions along Groat Road described above.
From the north
If you come via highway 2 (the St. Albert Trail), continue south all the way until you reach 87 Ave.
Go 3/4 around the traffic circle and proceed east along 87 Ave. for about 6 blocks.
If you come via highway 28 (which becomes 97 St.), go south until you reach 111 Ave.
Turn right at 111 Ave. and go west until you reach 109 St.
Turn left and go south along 109 St.
After crossing the North Saskatchewan River (on the High Level Bridge), turn right at 87 Ave. and go west about 4 blocks.
From the east
If you come via highway 16 (the Yellowhead Trail), take the 97 St. exit.
Go south along 97 St. until you reach 111 Ave.
Turn right at 111 Ave. and go west until you reach 109 St.
Turn left and go south along 109 St.
After crossing the North Saskatchewan River (on the High Level Bridge), turn right at 87 Ave. and go west about 4 blocks.
If you come via highway 14, take the 82 Ave. exit.
Go west along 82 Ave. until you reach 109 St.
Turn right and go north until you reach 87 Ave.
Turn left and go west about 4 blocks.
